Arctic Winter ATV Safari
Ride an ATV to Natofjellet and experience spectacular views of Honningsvåg and Magerøya.
Tour description
The tour starts in Honningsvåg, where you’ll meet your guide and receive a safety briefing on the ATVs before we hand out helmets and necessary winter gear. Once everyone is ready, we’ll start the ATVs and set off on our journey through the Arctic winter landscape.
After about 5.5 kilometers along the main road by the sea, we turn off and follow the gravel road that winds its way up the mountain. Here you really get the feeling of driving a bit “off-road,” as the road follows the mountain’s natural formations. As we climb higher, the snow-covered landscape opens up more and more around us. After another 3.4 kilometers, we reach the summit and the viewpoint on Natofjellet.
This is an impressive viewpoint with a panoramic view of Honningsvåg, the harbor, and the mountains surrounding the town. Here we’ll take a break so you can enjoy the view, take photos, and experience how the town is surrounded by the sea and rugged Arctic nature.
On clear winter days, you can see far out across the landscape and the mighty Barents Sea. You might also be lucky enough to see the Northern Lights dancing over Honningsvåg. If you’re visiting the town by cruise ship, you’ll be able to see your ship from here. After the stop at the summit, we hop back on the ATVs and drive back to Honningsvåg.
This tour is a packed winter experience for those who want to enjoy ATV riding, Arctic nature, and fantastic views of Honningsvåg in a relatively short time.
