Arctic ATV Safari
From coast to mountain – a short tour with big nature experiences and spectacular views.
Tour description
The tour starts in Honningsvåg, where you’ll meet your guide and receive a safety briefing on the ATVs before we hand out helmets and necessary equipment. Once everyone is ready, we start the ATVs and set off on a tour through the rugged landscape of Magerøya.
We follow the main road along the coast before turning off after about 5.5 kilometers and driving onto the gravel road that winds its way up the mountainside. Here, the tour takes on a more “off-road” feel as the road follows the terrain’s natural formations. As we climb higher, the landscape opens up around us, and the view of the sea and mountains becomes increasingly impressive. After another 3.4 kilometers, we reach the summit and the viewpoint at Natofjellet.
From this spectacular vantage point, you’ll enjoy a panoramic view of Honningsvåg, the harbor, and the mountains surrounding the town. We’ll take a break so you can enjoy the view, take photos, and truly experience how the town is situated between the sea and the mountains far up in northern Norway.
On clear days, you can see far out over the Barents Sea and the surrounding Arctic landscape. If you’re visiting Honningsvåg by cruise ship, you’ll also be able to see your ship from the viewpoint.
After the stop at the summit, we’ll hop back on the ATVs and drive back to Honningsvåg.
This tour is a short but enriching experience for those who want to combine ATV riding with spectacular views of Honningsvåg and the Arctic nature on Magerøya.
