Magerøya Explorer ATV Safari
Experience more of Magerøya on this extended ATV tour from Honningsvåg. Enjoy panoramic views from Natofjellet, drive through Arctic landscapes, and visit Camp Sarnes where you’ll encounter the impressive king crab.
Tour description
Want to experience more than just a regular ATV tour? On this extended ATV tour, we combine spectacular views, exciting riding, and an encounter with one of the ocean’s most impressive creatures.
The adventure begins in Honningsvåg, where you’ll meet your guide and receive a brief safety briefing on the ATVs before we hand out helmets and necessary equipment. Once everyone is ready, we hop on the ATVs and set off on a journey through the open Arctic landscape of Magerøya.
The first stop is Natofjellet, a viewpoint high above Honningsvåg. Here you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the town, the harbor, and the mighty Barents Sea. We’ll take a break so you can enjoy the view and take photos of the spectacular landscape.
The tour continues and includes a 4-kilometer-long tunnel before we arrive at Camp Sarnes, a peaceful and scenic area right by the sea. Here, a warm cup of coffee or tea awaits while the guide tells you about life along the coast and introduces you to a local celebrity: the impressive king crab.
You’ll also have the opportunity to see the crab up close and take photos with this fascinating creature.
After the visit to Sarnes, we head back toward Honningsvåg.
This tour offers a diverse experience of the nature around the North Cape, from mountain views to coastal landscapes and an encounter with the ocean’s giant.
